Does Paying Extra For Damage Waiver On A Rented Trailer Cover Curb Damage To A Wheel And Tire

Posted in Tire & Wheel Care | Asked on Sep 11, 2010

I was told the policy for the extra cost damage waiver excludes “collision.” Is curb damage to a wheel and tire a “collision?”

It depends on the policy and the company you rented from.

Most of them do. It should be clearly stated in the contract. (at least on what it doesn’t cover.)

Yes it does,,and it,s worth buying the damage waiver,,otherwise you have to pay ,,out of your pocket,,and sometime,s there estimate,s on damage,s are ridiculously high,,so yeah if you rent one pay the extra,,it,s worth it.

Yes, look at your contract, that kind of stuff is what damage waivers are for [to cover damages that occur when the trailer is rented out to the public]…..

When you purchase the extra insurance on rentals they usually don’t even inspect it when you return it.
They wait and hit the next guy without extended insurance with it, HAHA.
