Carburetor Bubbling Gas

I have a 87 Dodge Power Ram with a holley 2 barrel (I think) and recently I believe I ran it out of gas. I put new gas in it and used some carburetor cleaner on it after because I thought it wouldn't hurt. Now when I try to start it after it has been sitting a while (i think it is flooding itself) it will start and run like crap but then die within 10 seconds after. And if I ...

When I raise the floats, more fuel squirts out. Fuel pressure is at 5.5 psi. I am assuming this 600 cfm carburetor is too small if anything. This problem arose after installing a new single plane intake. ...

Irregular Carburetor Backfire/Spitback

I've been working on my 67 mustang. I had a vacuum leak with a few other problems. I've gone through and corrected them, but now I'm having odd backfire through a brand new Holley 2bbl carburetor. I know it's not the timing chain, or ignition timing. Ignition timing is not perfect but should be good enough to start. Since I first put the carburetor on it started 2 times with no problem. It idled high but that was it. So the motor ...
