It is an older battery that was sitting and was charged. It was tested and produced only 670 amps. Since the diesels have the glow plugs and need a good battery to start, would an almost 200 less amps be enough to start?
We're talking cranking amps and to poster who said MBZ only need 90 amps confuses me.

I have a super e-ram electric supercharger that draws 120amps for 15 seconds. When the e-rams engage, the lights dim. Would a 33lb optima red top (720cca) or a 26lb odyssey pc925 (380cca but 925, 5sec cranking amps) be more appropriate for my needs?
Also, I'm planning on grounding it better. My battery is currently located in the trunk, but I plan on mounting the new, replacement battery where the rear seats were (removed). Would adding a high-performance audio capacitor help? ...
Currently in Lincoln, NE it is -5 F outside. My car has a battery in it that has 350 cold crank amps. Not nearly enough to even think about starting my car. Is it safe for me to leave my battery charger on the battery over night (hoping it will start up by 7:30a)? I already have plans to put in a new, better battery with butt tons of cold crank amps.
I have a Kenwood 1700 watt amp and 2 Kenwood 10" subs in my car. When I'm sitting at a stop light and the subs are going, my voltage guage drops down and my cd player turns off and then back on (from lack of power). This usually takes a few seconds of lots of bass. I've noticed that this doesn't happen on the highway or anyother time the engine is turning high RPMs. I've also noticed that my headlights flicker ...
I have a 2001 VW Passat and the battery suddenly died. I have had a charger running on the battery for the last 4 hours. The charger is showing that the battery is only at 1.5 amps. Is that normal? How many amps do I have to let the charger get up to until the car will have enough juice to turn over?
It is a 6 amp charger and the battery is about 4 years old.
I am trying to rotate the three different Amperages. My Charger just indicated "75" Full on 6 Amps, so i switched it to 2 Amp Charge, what are the differences and benefits for the battery at these charge rates?
