Tried to replace leaking seals in shifter cover. I removed the shifter and replaced the part. When I reassembled it, the shifter seems to be locked up. I cannot shift any gears at all. Anyone got any ideas about what I'm doing wrong? ...

Will an automatic steering column work for a Manual truck if the shifter is in the middle of the Cab on the floor? I realize There would be a random auto shifter on the column, However I wouldn't connect the shifter cables.
