When a Manual Transmission Car has Paddle Shifters do You Still use a Clutch When Shifting

I havent really cared to know this until now when i found out the new Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera would have rally racing type paddle shifters as an option but know i want to know if a clutch is still used or if its just press one button to upshift press another button to downshift like.

    on the lambo im not sure but i know some new cars dont use a clutch but the racing types do.

    It will probably have a variation of the Lambo E-Gear trans which has no clutch pedal, the clutch is automatic. So you would just pull the paddles to shift.

    No, it’s basically automatic. You just control WHEN it shifts

    No you dont longer have a clutch pedal you just push it.

    the clutch is automatically put in by the engine. I have an BMW M6 and it has the paddle shifters
