   Remove the top plate which shows the saab logo on the knob or it shows the gears 1,2,3,4 R. Under it is a screw, unscrew that screw and then unscrew the knob from the shaft by turning anti clockwsie.

   Hold it in your hand and turn anti clock wise, it will unscrew.
