What Is Wrong With My Car If My Speedometer And RPMs Go To Zero While I Am Driving

Posted in Performance Chips | Asked on May 27, 2010

I was driving down the road and my cars speedometer and RPMs go to zero, then my raido and accessory lights start to flash on and off. My car started to sputter like it was out of gas then my power steering went shut off. I just had a new battery, spark plug, spark plug wires, and electrical check on it at Firestone. Could it be the alternator or something else?

good ole firestone. they fix one thing and eff’d up something else.
beware of their ‘mechanics’. use them for tries ONLY

go take it in and tell them what is going on. thats what shops are for.

It is an electrical or computer issue.

Find a competent mechanic to diagnose and repair – Firestone, Goodyear, Wal-mart, etc are not where you find good mechanics. Successful independent shops have experienced good mechanics, often trained at dealers, then started their own shop. Dealers have well trained mechanics, but often lacking in experience.
