Will A Cummins Diesel With Auto Transmition Sound Different With Exhaust Stacks

Posted in Exhaust and Mufflers | Asked on Jul 9, 2010

I live in the country and see a lot of ram pickup trucks with the diesel and manual transmition. When they have stacks or even just a big exhausttip, they sound great. Will it still sound as good if the transmition is automatic? I know there wont be as much turbo bark. I just wanted to know cause I have always wanted a truck like that but I have no idea how to drive a manual.

yeah it will sound nice, well just about anything will sound nice with stacks
btw driving a manual transmission isnt as hard as one would think maybe a few hours of driving around getting used to the shift pattern and the clutch will be all you need

The sound wouldn’t be much different,Stay with auto less issues and shifting all the time.

Yes it will soundd alot different, it will get louder and deeper tone after u do it. I have raced for many years and seen prostock diesels described like ur truck and an auto is what they run and they dont sound bad at all.
