What Kind Of Exhaust System Should I Get

Posted in Exhaust and Mufflers | Asked on Jun 7, 2010

I am thinking of buying an exhaust system for MY 2005 Mustang V6 thinking and I said, buy flow master. Good, bad? What else should I do? Http://www. Car-stuff. com/carparts/fordmustang20052007flowmasterf131741075930. html

Flowmaster, Magnaflow or Ford Racing maybe?

Flowmaster makes, in my opinion, a very good sound for muscle cars, so I recommend it to. Go to http://www.flowmaster.com to see which type to get for your car and even hear a clip of how it sounds. Also, Youtube has many exhaust clips.

I spend a lot of time at the track and talking with the guys at my shop who do my mods for my car. It is deffinately between flowmaster and magnaflow. I chose magnaflow because I thought it sounded better and the guys at my shop said they think the customer is just a little bit better. As far as quality of the parts, it is a tie. Enter the words “magnaflow flowmaster exhaust sounds” in the search engine and you will get a website where they have recorded how each one sounds, maybe that will help you with your decision.

I would use the exhaust system from a V8 car,at least as much of it as possible, hangers and all, every nut and bolt of it everything except for the H-pipe which won’t work. From a salvage yard it should be very cheap, use flowmaster or whatever mufflers you want. Then have your V6 “Y” pipe turned into an “H” pipe by a good muffler shop to match up to the V8 exhaust.Or have them just make you a whole new custom “H” pipe. This will be the most trouble free and cheapest way to do this.I’ve done it!!!
