Can Fuel Treatments Cause Harm
Posted in Exhaust and Mufflers | Asked on Jul 31, 2010SeaFoam, B-12 Chemtool, Marvel Mystery Oil (The only ones ive heard that do Anything, as 90% of them seem like money-wasters..) .. or even Chevron and Lucas, some -Possible” good ones?
And Why do some of them say “Diesel Fuel Additives” and also “Safe for all Gas Engines and Catalytic Converters” – What does a Catalytic Converter have to do with Fuel, it only measures Exhaust right?

I’ve been using SeaFoam in my cars for many years, and it works. Stuff’s been around forever, and does a good job.

Sure, but where do you think those additives go when they are burned? They don’t disappear, so you don’t want something that will wreck about $2000 worth of cat converters, either.
As for causing harm, not sure. I don’t use them very much.
