The CHARGER:
The Schumacher SE-82-6 Battery Charger features:
6 amp 12 Volt medium charge rate for most everyday needs-charges in 6 to 8 hours
2 amp 12 Volt trickle charge-charges a small 12 volt battery in 2 to 12 hours
6 amp 6 volt = ?
what setting do I use and for how long to get the battery completely charged ?
There are 2 Answers
The 6 amp setting is good. The Schumacher chargers have intelligent charging profiles and the Optima battery is much more tolerant of dumb charging than an ordinary battery, so it will be perfectly good that way.
Always charge Optima closed cell batteries @ no more than 2 amps with an automatic self leveling charger. If you won’t take my word for it call their costumer service department and ask them!
