strart on 12 volt 2 amp and after an hour goto 12 volt 10 amp
The battery is dead so that is why you start the charge rate low.
If the batter is not sealed make sure it has enough water. Do not charge it with the battery completely connected to the car—remove the negative black cable.

Check the water if it not sealed then start low (2A) for a couple of hours then check voltage. If it is <12.0, get a new battery. After a couple more hours @ 10A you should read at least 12.4. Be sure to not overheat the battery. Don’t trust a battery more than 4 yrs. old.
