Does/Can A Solar Cell Battery Charger Extend The Life Of A Car Battery

Or does it shorten the life by constantly topping it off?
I understand that if you always charge the phone battery to full without draining completely, it sort of gains a memory if you will. now, will installing one of these help a newer battery or hinder, and will it help to extend the life of a failing (older) battery or cause an earlier demise?

it wont hurt the battery car battery (lead acid) have no memory problems it is hard on them if they are fully discharged. will it prolong the life probably not the car alternator will charge the battery as the car is running

It could. Lithium batteries (like in cell phones and laptops) like to be fully dis-charged before re-charging. Lead acid batteries (car batteries) can go completely dead if fully discharged – so, theoretically it could stop that from happening.
Trickle Chargers will not harm your car battery, and are perfectly safe to use. Although if your car is losing its battery charge often you may need to get it services as the battery – or something more – may be at fault.
