Battery Charger For Nine Hours On Two Amps For Minivan

Posted in Car Batteries | Asked on May 30, 2010

I am wondering if I can move it to 4amps to fasten the pace, yet it is for motorcycles, not cars? I also charged it yesterday for four hours. The light in the car works. It isnt charged fully yet.

Replace your battery. It’s toast, and won’t take a charge.

Oh….motorcycle batteries are too small amperage wise for cars.

  2. Bubba B says:

Take it off the charger and take it to an auto parts store and have them test it.

  3. Nomadd says:

It would take a good size car battery two days to charge at two amps.

As you can see,no one agrees on this subject because no one can say with certainty that the battery is in good enough condition to accept a charge. But,yes you can move the amperage to 4 amps.If it fails to accept enough current to work properly after around 4 hours at that rate then the battery may be weak.It needs a load test to determine that.If the battery starts bubbling vigorously while charging it’s full.
