Should I Put Money Into My Car
Posted in Air Intakes System | Asked on Jan 29, 2012Dodge Neon R/T 2004 MT
I was thinking of putting a Cold air intake and exhaust system on my car. I know it wont make it too much faster but im trying to decide whether or not its worth the money. The car has 84000 miles and is 150 HP stock. Other upgrades would be headers intake manifold pulleys ecu chip (all alot farther down the road).

I think I’d save my money and plan to buy a car that already performs the way I want it to. Check your engine to see if it’s an “interference” type engine that is wiped out if the timing belt breaks. Have you ever replaced the timing belt and water pump? Save your money for that.
I cant say enough about the cold air intake being junk//this piece of sewer pipe will do nothing but cost money and use more gas//all cars with ecm systems are subject to programed injector/timing/trans/revs and any thing else the engine does//all that other junk does noting except make noise//sooooooooooooo if you just want to be another buzz bomb spend it/your better off opening the window and yelling zoom ,zoom, zoom
I would say standard maintenance or repairs until you can afford a much nicer car.
I would save my money and buy another car that has some of the things i want in it. Its not worth fixing up with that many miles on it.
84K on a Dodge …… Start saving your money. And about the best thing down the road would be to sell it.
