Performance Package For F150
I own a 1997 5.4L F-150 and have been saving for a while to buy some performance parts. Right now I have $1,000 saved up. I have looked at buying a cold air intake, 75mm throttle body, throttle body spacer, headers, under-pulley system, adjustable timing, and a camshaft. What should I buy first and are there some things I should buy and some things I could do without for a little while. Also, the cam as a slight lobe at idle and power band of 1,500-6,500rpm. If there is anything else I should buy to complete the package please list them and any changes to the computer, timing, etc.
**My limit is about $2,000 and I need my truck to still be street legal. Basically. =)

Best bang for the buck by far is going to a P.I. intake and P.I. heads, If you get then from a junkyard 1999-up 5.4L everything should only set you back a few hundred bucks. Those alone will net you a 30-40 HP increase. Then you can throw on a CAI and exhaust, and a tuner, and you should still be under budget.
