    sometimes, most of the time.

No. they are not. In some applications they do not even measurably increase power. I have to shake my head when someone pays 100-200 bucks for one. When in the rare instance they do increase power, it’s usually no more than 3-4 horsepower. Don’t believe everything that is printed in the advertisement.

it depends, are you looking for better gas mileage or hp? If its gas mileage-yes. If its hp, get a chip or reprogrammer.

No, just port and polish what you have. You can buy a die grinder with a cutter, gaskets, and do it all yourself for less than you would spend on a spacer. Just be sure that you put some rags in the ports to keep out the big chunks of aluminum. Good luck.

Those spacers have only ONE function and that is to change the RPM range for torque and Horsepower – it will not add any measurable amount of either, it simply changes the peaks involved.

Longer intake runners change the HP and Torque to higher RPM’s and shorter runners change them to lower RPM’s.
    BUT…
That formula ONLY applies between the air/fuel regulator and the intake valve — before that point in the system length does not matter at all..
