1998 Honda Prelude Upgrade
Posted in Air Intakes System | Asked on Jan 3, 2012Hey there I have a Greddy Evo2 Exhaust and a AEM air intake thats all I have, the rest is stock, I was wondering what I could do next without having too much difficultyand I want a big HP gain, I want my car to be very fast BUT I DO NOT want a turbo , I was thinking maybe throttle body, intake manifold or a high flow cat? please help as I want more HP and was wondering what will give me the most and will not be hard to get on thanks a lot!

Get a CR-V throttle body, chip the ECU, upgrade your fuel system and ignition system.
I agree with the other guy. also put headers, new pistons, new rods, new cams, new cam gears, and dont go with a high flow cat, i would go with a test pipe instead. also you can also remove power steering and your a/c that will probably be an extra 3 hp. if you want a fast all engine prelude you have to do alot of little things. so basically do everything except turbo haha have fun
I guess those guys are talking about throttle bodies with bigger butterfly valves? I can’t see TB spacers doing anything for a fuel injected car.
You probably didn’t gain much power (if any) from the exhaust, and it’s possible to lower power by installing an aftermarket intake. So who knows where you are right now. You could just get a performance chip – but just realize that the intake+exhaust+chip combination is usually seen as “rice.”
