Would Driving A Ford Crown Victoria With Tinted Windows, Antenna’s, Etc. Result In Being Stopped More By Cops
Posted in Off Road Lights | Asked on Jul 29, 2010If you bought a Crown Vic, and tried to make it look like a undercover cop car (tint, antenna’s, CB radio, push bar), but didn’t put blue lights, or sirens on it, would you be hassled and pulled more by cops? Or would they realize and just treat you like an average motorist?

you woul d probably get pulled more just for trying to look like a cop, they would be wondering why
you would be pulled over, if car look like a undercover cop car, believe, we pull over all time for our car and not even a crown Victoria, they run the license plate on the car all the time.
why risk it? If you look like your up to no good, the police will visit all kinds of unwanted attention on you? Besides, why do you want to look like something your are not (assuming your are not a police officer).
why would you want to make it look like a cop car if aren’t trying to tease them or are you a wanna be cop? sounds to me like you are trying to see what you can get away with, and lastly it could depend on the cops in your town……
you might get pulled over just for the tinted windows-at least here in NJ..
It’s that rad soul patch or yours, Slick.
…not sure why you would want a Crown Vic, they get horrible gas mileage.
If a police officer does a traffic stop on you with no cause (i.e. you were obeying all laws), it will get thrown out by the judge.
However, if you are hanging around in a known drug area, they might wait for you and ask to search when they see you leave, thinking there may be drugs in the car. That is the only scenario I could imagine where a cop might pay a bit more attention to your car.
Oh, and I were you, I’d repost this in Police/Law Enforcement, you might get a better response (and some interesting ones, I’ll bet) ;>
i was from an area were people started to do that, cops really dont care as long as the word POLICE or COP dosent show up and NO BLUE LIGHTS they are illegeal. they will treat you like an everday motorist. for all they know you could have bought it from a used cop car dealership.
