Why Do Some Drivers Drive Over The Rectanglular Block Of Yellow Lines To Get To The Left Turn Lane
Posted in Off Road Lights | Asked on Jun 1, 2010It’s kind of dangerous, because you don’t know if someone in front of you is planning on turning and is actually waiting until the left turn lane begins – you might hit them. Once I was in front of a car at a red light, and he passed me on the left, totally on the yellow bars, zooming up to the left turn lane. Fortunately, a police car went after him. Another time, the zoomer on my left side actually passed the whole line of cars at the light so he could be first to go through the green light. Ridiculous. I’m just getting all my pet peeves out here.

Yeah, you’re right. It’s scary. Keep alert to them.
As a truck driver, I personally go into the hatched yellow zone, in order to make sure my rig will fit into the turn lane, otherwise in most cases, the turn lane is to short to fit the truck and trailor into then I am taking up two lanes. I don’t like to do that because I respect the other motorists.
my pet peev is when you have been driving slow for miles in the fast lane and i want to get around you and your plodding along taking ur time braking coming up for the turn…. speed up and you wont have that problem lol … drive or go home and get back in bed for awhile … then when ur actually ready to move get in ur car and go lol … kidding … people are impatient ya know
