Bying A Car, Well Were Trying
Posted in Off Road Lights | Asked on Aug 24, 2010My grilfriend bought a nice 02 ford torase that in just a year is falling apart this all happend in 3 mounths one after another first the power windows quit working, then the power doors, then the dome light wouldnt go off, then the drivers side coil spring broke and ripped through the tire, then power steering pump, then the keyless entry stoped working, then the windsheld washer, then the sway bars, and now i think the blower motor could be going out. Trust me after this were done with Fords, not just because of this car, so my question is do you know of a good reliable suv 4 wheel drive oo and up for around 10,000 to 12,000 that you may have hade good luck with or know of someone
not a ford thank you for your time

I also hate Fords, if you have ten grand put it down on a Nissan Mirano, they are the safest suv’s according to the testers. I have a friend that has one and he loves it. If you have to buy it used, dont buy it from a dealer, even a used car dealer, find the truck you want and ask to take it to a qualified shop and pay 100 dollars for them to check it over prior to you purchasing it stating what is right and what needs attention.
I hope she got her money back….check on the lemon laws of your area if she didn’t…sounds like a real nightmare.
Ouch! that’s kind of what people should expect from Ford
Look at used Toyota 4runner, they’re probably the best SUV ever made. They’re good off-road, extremely reliable and hold value way better than domestic cars. If you take care of it, it will run 250k+ miles with little to no problems.
