How to Disarm an Old Car Security System Freedom F-300
Posted in Interior Accessories | Asked on Jan 18, 2010I have a 1997 Honda Accord that has an after-market security system (Freedom F-300 by Omega). I don’t have the buttons for the security system. When I start the car, the doors lock automatically. Today, they locked but the system kept trying to lock over and over. Does anyone know how to disarm this thing? I assume not, but I thought I’d ask anyhow. Thanks.

There are One Answer
You will need to locate the alarm module assembly which should be under the dash.
It should have two in-line fuses that you can just remove, try this and see what will happen.
If it has no fuses then follow the module wiring harness and locate the two wires that are going to the fuse box, one is constant hot and one is hot with the key on, remove them and retry.
If the car will not start replace the fuses and try one at a time until the car starts and the alarm is disabled.
