Then I have one Alpine Type R 12 powerd by a 2,000 watt amp. The 12 inc. sub dose not humm. Every thing sounds great but my 6*9. This is my 1996 Z28 camaro. I have a Optimo Red Top Battery. You either have a cheap amp or bad RCA cables on the 6×9′s. Could also be a bad ground at the battery or amp.
Are you running rca cables next to a power source? that will hum
1) The gains may be too high.
2) You may have a bad amp ground.
3) You may have a bad RCA cable.
4) The amp may be bad.
5) A speaker wire could be shorting out.
Probably bad spark plug wires or non resistor spark plugs. It could also be a built in resistor has went out in the ignition circuit, but I would bet on one of the former. Oops, didn’t read your question all that well the first time, check the grounds on those 6×9″s and make sure they are grounded the same as the rest of your speakers, and are the same ohms, and short of a bare spot in the speaker wires going to those speakers, I can’t say.
The most common reason for this is a weak or bad ground. make sure u r using at least a ten gauge wire preferrably silver and multistranded . also make sure u r using proper and quality wiring. they also sell noise reducing inline equipment to further dampen any noise. alot of it is coming from the vehicles electronic equipment already in use
Yeah check all grounds first…….then if your RCA cables are ran within a foot of your power wires to the amp that could be the problem
