Stupid Alpine Stereo Problems
Posted in Car Electronics | Asked on Nov 25, 2011So my first car stereo (alpine 9805) suddenly cut out in my car. I figured the internal amp blew. I reset it and troubleshooted it to no avail.
My next alpine was given to me by a friend. It worked at first, but although music plays, the head unit will randomly freeze and the buttons will not work. Plus, I noticed the faceplate motorized unit will not eject anymore to put in a cd. It says ‘open’ but nothing happens. It worked the first day… Anyone else had problems like this? Do you think it’s overheating or something?
By the way, I never crank the volume in my car, and I take good care of my stereos. I am just an unlucky person…
Thanks for your time.
