Is This A Good Deal For A First Car For Cheap

Posted in Car Electronics | Asked on Jan 17, 2012

I’m 19 and I need a car bad but don’t know if this is a good deal. Help?

1993 Toyota Tercel – $500
Odometer 170k. The car does run. Was used by my children. Needs a mechanics touch. Has a bad head gasket. Has newer tires and aftermarket wheels. Has an Alpine Stereo with 4 speakers. Has a clean title. Clean interior. Minor LF bumper and park light damage.

    That explains the $500 price…

    Keep looking.
That head gasket repair can get expensive.

  3. Smilee says:

No. Unless you’re planning on fixing the head gasket with the money you saved, don’t bother. Your antifreeze will leak into your oil and might cause it to lock up. At any time.

Yes, that is a good deal. For $500 you would get a 16 year old toyota that is in pretty good condition for a car of that age. Good luck!!
