I Have A Question About The Kicker DX700 Amplifier

Posted in Car Electronics | Asked on Jan 31, 2011

I have a kicker DX700 class D amp that i bought off ebay with a broken gain pot. Anyways i repaired it and it kicks really!! i have two rockford fosgate punch XLC’s 12′s hooked up to at 2 Ohms (mono) and when i barely turned it up this amp ripped the surounds off them!! Anyhow has anyone ever owned one of these? and if you did what did your birth sheet say about its wattage rattings? This one i got for $10 on ebay and fixed it up, for being 17 im pretty good! so if someone has one please let me know. for this amp being over 8 years its pretty good i guess.

  1. Chris_harper1970 says:

According to Kicker’s site, it is rated at 700 watts RMS at 2-ohms; and 350 watts RMS at 4-ohms. http://www.kicker.com/sites/default/files/DX%20Amplifiers.pdf
How old were those subs, and what kind of condition were the surrounds to start with? That makes a difference.
