I Have A Alpine CDA9856 Head Unit And A KENWOOD KAC8152 1100w MONO CAR AUDIO AMPLIFIER

My last amp i had hooked up to this head unit would only work on the Tuner/radio and not when i played a cd, so i was wondering if this amp would work when i play a cd

If you are not getting any cd sound out of your head unit the problem is your head unit not the type of amp you have. You can use any kind of head unit with any kind of car amplifier.
HEY IF YOU ONLY GET SOUND IN TUNER THEN IT MEANS YOU HOOKED UP THE REMOTE WIRE OF THE AMP WRONG. U MUST HAVE HOOKED UP THE REMOTE TO THE DECK’S ANTENNA WIRE, THATS Y THE AMP ONLY TURNS ON WHEN U USE THE RADIO. REDO IT TO THE RITE WIRE, MOST DECK REMOTE WIRE IS BLUE.
You hooked the amps remote wire to the wrong place, you hooked it up to the decks antenna remote, take the deck out and hook the amp remote wire to the blue wire with a white line, that should fix it, some decks the antennea only turns on in tuner mode..
