How Do I Wire 2 Subwoofers To A Kicker Zx400.1 Mono Subwoofer Amp

Posted in Car Electronics | Asked on Nov 26, 2010

The amplifier has only 1 positive and 1 negative speaker input. Can I have it power 2 subs or just 1?

You can run two subs as long as your amp can handle it.

    Just for example:

You can run 2 subs of a mono amp
just put the two negatives together and the two positives together and insert them in the amp

Depends on the ohm of the subwoofers and if the amp is 1 ohm stable of if its not 1 ohm stable and how many voice coils the subwoofers have and what ohm the voice coils are
