Posted in Car Electronics | Asked on Jun 11, 2011

I have a Kenwood and it’s pretty new about 3-4 months, when I drive and especially when it’s hot the sound of the music gets really and you can barely hear it and then the stereo just shuts off!!! It says OCER something like that? What is the problem?

Over heating or loose wires or the worst case would be bad soder connection in the head unit itself.

It could be that the CD player is overheating. If it gets hot it will shut down automatically. I would check the dash where its located. Sometimes it has to do with the location because it gets hot.
I hope that shed’s a little light on your problem.
