Anyone Know Anything About A 99′ Cadillac Catera

We just purchased one and we love it but we do not have a manual. Do they come equipted with a factory alarm? Ours says security but doesn’ seem to work. Are there common oil leaks? We seem to have one. Anything that we should know about this car would be helpful to avoid further problems. Thank you.

No, but they should come with their own electrician… Be forewarned of electrical nightmares you may have with this car.
My landlord was given one a few years ago, she quickly traded it in for something else. She said it was the worse car she ever owned.
Cateras come with a factory anti-theft system. The most common oil leak is the oil cooler, and there are occasional problems with other areas.

Best way is to trade it
Check oil sending unit,valve gaskets,and pan gasket! For oil leak!
They can be very good cars if check engine light is not on! They are a B***ch to work on!
You have to replace your battery in key remote or just lock and unlock your door with the key!
