Posted in Car Electronics | Asked on May 13, 2011

I was plannin on getting 1 kicker 8″ L7 2 ohms with a Kenwood KAC-8104D Monoblock Amplifier 1000W Class D with a DB Link 8 gauge wiring kit. I was planning on building my own box out of 3/4 inch MDF wood the dimensions of the box i am using will give me 0.6326 air space. any suggestions or approvals?

8″l7 will only handle 450 watts rms, you will need at least 0.75 on a sealed box and at least 1.0 on a vented box, 8 gauge wire is fine but id recommend 4gauge. check out kicker.com for more info on the sub
