What’s The Difference Between Halogen Bulb Types H3, H4, H7, Etc.

Will eventually become a strobe light on my ultralight aircraft.

    They are different fitment,the globes are different shape.

    H – Halogen
    # – base type for fitting to different sockets

    Not suitable for a strobe light. That requires a ‘special’ strobe bulb. A halogen bulb used as a strobe will fail after a few hours. Strobe bulbs are specific to the application.
