I’m trying to decide which package looks best, and would buy a total of a better one. I think the GT / CS could possibly retain their value better than a GT with a few modifications.

The GT/CS has a special front facial, side scoops, hood scoop, special gas cap cover on the rear and polished 18″ Bullitt wheels. It also has a special side stripe.
Personally, I like the C/S much better. I was disappointed that it didn’t have special taillights (like the original) but it still has good collector potental. The GT appearance package doesn’t do anything for me.
All those things are, are plastic body pieces that are held in place by two sided tape. They both will depreciate the same, and have the same resale value. They are just platic pieces that Ford is using to make a little more money on the GT’s. Its not like the original GT/CS that came out where they had their own styling and were a limited production car. If you want something to set you car apart from the guys running plastic pieces, have Ford install a REAL shaker hood system on the Mustang. It will increase HP, by giving you Ram Air. Also the car has a more aggressive look to it and a higher resale value.
IF it’s anything like the original CS it will hold better than the stock GT they will at least have limited production numbers…as far as collectible that wil not be known for 20 years.. as far as stepping out from the crowd go with the CS it sets you apart from all the other million mustangs running the streets & shows…. plus being able to say ” I have a california special”
