Around $80.00, if not repaired your gas milage will suffer. u can call the Dealer, Auto Zone or any parts store they will give you a price and availibility. It will take a mechanic about 30 min to replace and reset code

It would cause poor gas mileage

The back O2 sensor checks emissions from the cat converter in the exhaust. If not changed the light stays on you may not even notice any difference in how your 10 year old Sentra is running. If it is the o2 sensor heater that is causing the code it could cause other issues. Just try to get it replaced if you own a 7/8″ wrench and drive up on one side on the curb you can slide under there ans unplug slide the connector up and unplug it replace the 143.00 sensor from Nissan. It is the only sensor in the exhaust behind the motor..And save the check out expence and labor. Please use only the Nissan sensor. A bare wire after market sensor give you a one in four chance of hooking it up wrong and burning out the Engine Control Module.
