Will the distributor turn if the timing belt is broke?

    The distributor is driven off the camshaft which is driven by the timing belt.

    No but it will if the timing belt has jumped time or has stripped teeth. If it jumps too far on an interference engine it can still cause the valves to either hit each other or the pistons. Hope i have been helpful.

    nope ! the cam has to turn before the distributor can turn and the belt is what turns the cam.
