Where Do I Find The Ignition Output Wire And The Starter Output Wire For A Ford F150 Truck

Posted in Ignition Systems | Asked on Dec 29, 2010

I’m trying to install a remote starter and security system in my truck and I’m not sure how to find these wires so I thought I’d ask. Also a friend of mine told me to get put the wires that go from the interior to the engine by putting the wires through the steering column. Is there a better way? Thanks.

There is a brain box, most wiring comes from that

You can drill a hole in the fire wall or look for rubber grommet and slip a screw driver to enlarge it then put your wires thru. Last, find the starter wire and splice into it, normally located in the steering coulomb; get a manual that covers your car, it will have the wiring info. You can try auto parts stores or public library.

    Good Luck
