at the ends of the spark plug wires opposite the distributor

You have to look from under the truck and you should see them

  3. Al says:

Its on the side of the engine. It is seem that you are not familiar with this car. I would suggest taking it to a shop or a friend who know the location of a spark plug on an engine.

  4. SIMON J P says:

OK is it 4 or 6 cylinder. Either way they will be under the COP (coil on plug) which means each spark plug has individual coil packs.

LOL. Escapes NEVER had that junk from the factory…

Anyway, there are NO plug wires to trace nor a dizzy to find. You are looking for Coil On Plug boots. If you have a v6, good luck finding the three up against he firewall!

  6. Johnny says:

The plugs wires are connected to a coil pack and the coil pack is placed right over the spark plug. Look for 4 or 6 small black boxes on top of the valve covers, it is fasten to the valve cover with a few (2 or 3) small screws. They have wire looms that connects the coil pack to the computer. Its has to be disconnected to remove the coil back and plug wire, they come out as one piece. The spark plugs are at the bottom of that port where the plug wire came out off. Its harder to get the wires disconnected then it is to get the coil pack off.
