PROBLEMS WITH HONDA ACCORD NEED HELP PLEASE
Posted in Ignition Systems | Asked on Aug 17, 2010I have a 1995 honda accord lx the car recently started overheating and when it starts it feels like it is going to stall out we put a new thermostat in and still overheating we found out the problem is the fan i am taking it for a new one tomorrow but even when the car is not over heating it feels like its running rough maily when i start it up new spark plugs, wires and distributor cap and still doing it and also when it runs like that it smokes more then it should what else could be the problem also the smoke on the car when first started is white but i had 3 people look at it and they said it is deff not the head gasket

Oxygen Sensor(s)?
You need to have your head gasket replaced. When you change it be sure to check the head for flatness and cracks. A bad head gasket will cause your over heating issue as well as your rough running condition. Good luck and hope this helps.
Overheating: Check all liquid levels, low oil, or low radiator fluid can make it over heat.
Stall out: Check ALL fuses, my Mazda constantly stalled out. When i checked the engine fuse (usually the biggest one) it was all corroded and made horrible contact. (Engine fuse usually under hood in large black box)
Smoking: You may have spilt oil on the engine, or your flex pipe on the exhaust may be wearing out, leakin exhaust into the engine bay.
Check your water pump. Its a pain in the butt to change, but it could cause these problems.
