Need Help With My Ford F350

Posted in Ignition Systems | Asked on Jul 29, 2010

I have a 2003 f350 with the 6.0 diesel. It won’t start for me and when it did start there was little to no power to the rear untill it came to running temp. I have replaced the air filter, glow plugs, glow plug relay, and fuel filters. When I changed the glow plugs it started fine but still ran poor. I let it sit over night and in the morning it didn’t start again. So if you have any ideas please send them my way! Thank you

crank sensor maybe might hav ebetter luck in a
    f350 fourms

You might have a weak fuel injector pump, you might wont to have the fuel pressure checked, also make sure that you dont have any air in the fuel system.

Sorrry, no fuel injector pump on this puppy.
It is electronically controlled fuel injection. The injectors are hydraulicly operated, electronically controlled.
This engine has a high pressure oil pump to supply oil for the injectors. There is a sensor to tell the computer the pressure being used to operate the injectors. If the pump does not put out enough pressure the injectors will not work.
Next, if you have one bad battery you will have starting problems as the engine will not turn over fast enough to generate enough oil output from the high pressure pump. If you hav ea bad battey you must replace both batteries.
Next for lack of power is EGR problems, Ford has TSB out about that. There is also a problem with the Turbo , it is a variable turbo and the vanes gum up and do not move giving a loss or lack of power. Again there is a TSB on this.
