You will need a bypass module to bypass the transponder system (chip in the key) during remote start. You can purchase one for $75 here https://shop.bypasskit.com/default.aspx?catid=27 The part# you need for the 2007 F150 is an XK04. You can get free vehicle wiring information here http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/ Click the tab at the top that says “Vehicle Wiring Diagrams” then choose your make then model and year of vehicle. According to the wiring diagram for your truck it should not be equipped with factory security because there is no indication of a factory alarm disarm wire on that vehicle. I checked this through 2 different reliable sources. However to test for factory alarm follow these steps:
    1) with the drivers door open and the window rolled down, lock the door using the door switch.
    2) Close the door and wait for about 2 minutes.
    3) Reach through the window and open the door from the inside without unlocking it.
If it has a factory alarm the horn will begin sounding and the parking lights will flash. Unlock the door with the key or factory remote (if it has one) to turn the alarm off.
When using the tachometer mode for remote starts on Ford vehicles it is always best to use the negative side of a fuel injector rather than the actual tach wire because Fords tend to have a weak tach signal which will cause the remote start to not work all the time when it gets real cold outside. The injector wire sends a simular signal that can be used and is a stronger signal so the remote start will not fail to sense the engine is running. I recommend using the tach method instead of the voltage sensing method because it is much more reliable.

If you are the original owner, look at the window sticker that was on the vehicle. It will tell you if it has the factory security system, or you can go to the selling dealer to have them pull the info. If you are not the original owner, you can go to the dealer and have them check the vehicle. They can tell you if your truck has a factory security system.
As far as a remote start, you can get the Ford system installed, which is comparable in cost to the aftermarkets, and is made specifically for the truck (minimal cutting and splicing). Everything you need is in the kit. Remember, most all remote start systems are for automatic transmission vehicles only. If yours has a manual trans, you may be out of luck.
