I Power To My Solenoid, Coil And Fuses But Still No Power To My Plug

Posted in Ignition Systems | Asked on Aug 9, 2010

I have a ford 302, i just ran a new hot wire from my solenoid to my coil. it gave me power to everything but me plugs. now i figure it has to be something to do with my distributor right? points and condenser? also i noticed my carb has been leaking fuel? new gasket?

The positive goes to one side of the points first, then from the other side of the points to the coil. The negative goes right up to the coil. The points make the coil go on and off which in turn creates a high voltage for the spark plugs.

yes either your module or pick up , both located inside your distributor.

9 times outta 10 the module gives before pick up
