I Have A 2001 Audi A4 Saloon. I Need To Collapse The Rear Seats

I put the ignition key into the lock on the seats and turn it, but nothing happens and I can’t fold the seats. Any ideas how I can fix this or if I’m doing something wrong? Thanks
I have flipped the lever forward but the seats still seem stuck in place. What am I missing?

    There is a lever to the left of the lock. Flip the lever forward.
