  1. ase cert mechanic w/elec exp. says:

a few hours per side $15 per glow plug they have the autolite brand

  2. Elwood says:

My labor guide here says it is 5.5 hours to change all glow plugs. At the shop I work at that would cost $412.50 plus parts.

Glow plugs on that engine are ez to replace why wouldn’t you do it yourself. It wont take more that an hour. The only thing you need to worry about is if the ends inside the cylinders have been over heated and mushroomed, then they will come out of the holes hard and then you will need to retrieve the pieces of metal that may have fall into the cylinder. But if they didn’t mushroom its extremely ez to do. Try one and if it comes out ez finish the rest. I’d go to Ford and by the OEM ones though as Ive tried after market glow plugs and they don’t perform as well.
