Usually when you have eight spark plugs it is a v8 but it should be under the hood when you got the hood up or you can take your vin number to the parts store like auto zone and they can tell you it goes by the 11 letter

Nissan trucks of that era all had 2.4 L in-line SOHC 4 Cyls.
The engines had a dual spark ignition, with the second spark plugs firing when engine speeds went over 1750 RPM.

You have a Z24 motor which uses eight spark plugs. The engine size 2.4lL but whenever you ask for any parts you must call the motor Z24 because the other 2.4L uses only four spark plugs and is extremely different in design.I believe that usually the motor size is stamped on the block and that Z24 appears on the valve cover or air cleaner

I have an 84 Nissan 720 4×4 long bed truck and it has a 2.4. The 2 spark plugs are for early and late firing for emissions control. I would say that you have the same engine that i do. Calling Nissan will help you figure it out
