I have a 1993 Ford F250 Diesel 7.3L Non-turbo. I am having a very hard time starting it when it is cold. I have had the entire glow plug system replaced and it all works perfectly. Once the truck gets started it has no issues. Upon a warm start it also has no issues. I have burned out starters and glow plugs trying to get it to start when it is cold (even 40deg F).
Any ideas on what to do to fix this? My last idea is replacing the entire fuel system, but at the tune of $2000 I may just have to get rid of the truck before that.
Have a block heater, but can’t always plug it in.
