Civic Will Not Start Cut Off While Driving
Posted in Ignition Systems | Asked on Jun 3, 2010Just recently had the timing belt, water pump, belts, drive and valve cover gasket changed and the valves in a Civic 95. Ran perfectly fine for about a week and a half. He went on to stop at a red light and the car cuts like turned the key off. It will not restart so I had to have it towed. I got home and realized I did not get any fire. Suggesting that the distributor was changed so away from a previous car that belongs to i use for parts. This distributor was almost new. Still no luck to activate the coil and yet still have no luck. Car has compression. Main projects of the new relay and the fuel pump operation and has started normally. Spark plug wires are new as well. I am at my wits end as I just bought the car and I’m already having problems with it. Neither me or my friend to understand what might be wrong with it. He has tried everything can think of, but you just run for a short time and then will not start again. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? Perhaps the computer? The most recent update is that it is firing erratically.

i would guess that its either your fuel pump relay. the throttle thing (sorry cannot remember what its called but i had it done in my car before) try pouring gas in your carb if it starts up its the fuel pump
check the crankshaft and tps sensors.
