Can A Bad Egr Valve Cause Rapid Carbon Build Up On Spark Plugs
Posted in Ignition Systems | Asked on Aug 16, 2010Brand new spark plugs. carbon builds up so bad within an hour that the engine dies and wont start until cleaned. Could that be a faulty egr valve? Also can the ignition coil be weak? Dont answer these questions unless you have a real answer. If I wanted silly answers, I wouldnt be here asking. Only legitimate answers.

There are One Answer
the egr is opened with vacuum.use a small piece of hose to plug the one end and use suction on the EGR with it running at idle.if it dies down when suction is applied then it is working.have you checked the cap and rotor?
