99 FORD F350 POWERSTROKE

I have a truch that had new glow plugs replaced and new cover gaskets then wired them up but when firing the truck up the number 1 cylinder will not send a voltage to injector. Placed a prob on each wire while running and light lit up but number one does not light and i have a miss in the engine. Checked wires all the way up to ICM and is good. The diognostic reflects p1316 i believe. It could be icm or the pcm any ideas why it went bad after glow plug change out and what it could be?

The wiring under the valve cover to the injectors and glow plugs is subject to high heat and vibration, it is not uncommon or these wires to become brittle and break internally or at the connectors, I would suspect when you removed the connectors from the glow plugs you bumped or snagged one of these wires and it broke. Replace the under Valve cover harness and that should cure your problem. Have sold a few of these over the years.
