1993 Ford Mustang 2.3L LX Hatchback Code Problems

Posted in Ignition Systems | Asked on Mar 20, 2011
Below is the question about 1993 Ford Mustang 2.3L LX Hatchback Code Problems,

Hello, I am really needing some help. I have several codes coming up on the EEC-IV Test for my car.
111 All systems OK (Sort of ironic in this case I guess.)
223 DIS loss of dual spark inhibit control
224 loss of IDM input to processor/SPOUT circuit ground/ coil 1,2,3 or 4.
998 Operating in failure mode.
Can some one please help me with this. I really need to get my car fixed. at the moment my tach is only reading half the RPM’s i am doing. and will occasionally act really bogged down when I punch the gas, but once I build up RPM’s it goes back to normal. I also have a small problem with the fuel pump not kicking on when I turn the ignition key. This has only happened 4 times after I replaced the fuel pump. But used to be really bad to where I could not start my car immediately after turning it off. Any help you can offer me will be greatly appreciated. This is my first Mustang and I love the car. I just want to get her running like when I first got her.

I think it has something to do with either the cam position sensor, or the ignition module. I bet a Ford dealer could figure it out for sure. The fuel pump not turning on is probably because of the power relay, which was known as the IRCM – Integrated Relay Control Module, which was 4 relays built into one unit, and occasional failure of this was not uncommon.
