I completely redid the very top end of my 1980 Vette, 350 V8 with new covers, intake manifold and a carb.
I’m very proficient mechanically so I’m quite up to things like this.
After installing everything, I fired it up, and with NO CABLES attatched opened and closed the throttle.
However, if I open it slowly, say 1/6 of the way and let go, the linkage will almost always stick and cause the engine to rev up. Why is the linkage sticking with no cables whatsoever connected to it? Did I get a bad carburetor?
